Wundertastisch won 1st place

If you are new to my blog, let me give you a quick heads up first before we head to the free mandala bundle. On Nov, 22nd the lovely Kara from Boho Berry announced her Small Business Owner Essay Contest with a total of $1750 in cash prizes. I was blown away! She herself build Boho Berry from the ground up and learned the ropes of running a small business along the way. Almost a year ago she set herself the goal to support a small business owner to the tune of $1000. And now that her business had grown to a full time income she did exactly that.

Since Kara is one of my biggest inspirations I saw her blog post right away. To be honest one year ago I wouldn’t have dared to enter. I would not have believed I could win. But after running Wundertastisch for 1.5 years now and being fully committed to turning it into a full-fledged business I couldn’t pass up the opportunity. I was as excited as I was scared, let me tell you that!

The contest ended on Dec, 8th so there are many entries by (wo)men I admire as well as lots of new faces I was excited to learn about. I love growing my own business and I’m always happy to see others do the same <3

When the contest ended I was buried in products, equipment and decorations for the Christmas market I was selling at the next day. So I found out thanks to a message from a very good friend. Unable to believe I was still at the top of the list, I checked my e-mails and there it was ‘Congratulations on winning first place…’ by Kara herself. <3<3<3

How will the $1k prize money be used?

When I started working with the frechverlag on a German planner for 2018 I knew I needed to come up with a solution for my international readers as well. Most of you do not speak German and so I decided to create my own digital planner called the ‘Journaltastisch Planner’.

I already published an early access version in late August for 2018 + the remainder of 2017, which includes my most used planner pages. You can find out more about it right here.

Currently I’m designing the final pages, so that I can publish the finished digital version on December 31st, 2017. Thanks to early access I already got amazing feedback and know what a lot of you would love to see added. And so I also know that a lot of you would really enjoy a physical version of the Journaltastisch Planner. Since I do want this planner to be flexible, so that you can add your own pages and customise this planner as much or as little as you like I want to use the prize money to do extensive research, get production samples and create this planner together with YOU!

Since the planner is meant to be completely customizable it can start and end at each month of the year, so we are not bound to a specific release date. This allows me to make sure that when I start production, I print a product you will truly enjoy!

Only two and a half weeks until New Year and the official launch of the digital Journaltastisch Planner for 2018. So far I can already tell you that it will come in two tiers. One that includes all the essentials to make 2018 highly productive for YOU. The second more expensive tier also will include many printables to get your creative juices flowing. To make this planner not only a productivity booster but also a lot of fun to use.

Additionally to the planner both tiers will include a print and cutting’ guide. That way it will look great in notebooks and binders alike. They also will include a guide on how to get the most use out of the printables included, which next to a detailed introduction comes with lots of tips and inspirational images. And, of course, this planner will come in A5 as well as US Half Letter size (A4 & US Letter will be added later on free of charge).

To round it all up, everyone who purchases the Journaltastisch Planner can become part of an exclusive Facebook Group. This group will allow us to share our layouts, help each other grow and allow me to add to the planner continuously while making sure you don’t miss an update. It also will be the place where I keep you up-to-date about the development of the physical planner and where you can help me make decisions for the final product. I also will send the initial drafts to some of you, so you can test the planner in person before we turn it into the final product.
