Monthly Goals List for Personal and Business
We all have long-term goals we truly wish for. But oftentimes we don’t know where to start and how to tackle these huge goals. They just seem unobtainable. To make it all easier for myself I tackle them in smaller chunks. In monthly goals to be precise. So instead of going full zero waste instantly, I figure out what I can do this month to produce less waste and take better care of my environment.
That being said the first lesson in time management is to estimate how much of your long-term goal you can actually accomplish in one single month. No matter how you decide on this the first month is probably some kind of guess. And that’s alright. Because next month we will look back on this list, see how much we actually accomplished and make sure our future goals are more realistic. Nothing needs to be perfect right away. It’s ok to take your time and figure things out. Because when you do nobody can hold you back on your way to success!
Time Tracker Printable
While you are more than welcome to use this printable for what it was initially meant for: habit tracking. You could just as easily adapt it and use it as a time tracker. If you want to do this you need to print it out twice. Then add the dates April, 1st till April 30th to the left column. And blackout (or white out) the numbers 25-30 in the top row. Now you can color code how you spend your time each day.
I fill a spread like this roughly once a quarter. Whenever I feel like I’m not very efficient with my time or just feel overwhelmed and don’t know how to manage it all. By diligently tracking how you spend your time each day in this spread you soon find out how much time you truly spend on Netflix and Facebook. And maybe redistribute part of it to your health or personal projects.
Or if you are a workaholic and your spouse is always moaning about you not having enough time for your relationship, you may realize that he or she is right and work a bit less each week and spend quality time with your loved ones instead. I’m mentioning this because while it’s easy to procrastinate we just as easily can do too much and burn ourselves out. Don’t do this to yourself. Take care and life a healthy balanced life â¡

I have to admit this layout is more fun than work. But as I just mentioned above having balance is important! So take out your favorite pens and start drawing, doodling, lettering and coloring. And use this template to document the most memorable events of this month. Need inspiration, hop over to Pinterest right here and have a browse 😀
Monthly Log Layout
Very similar to your time tracker but this time you not only document the categories you spend your time in but the actual events/tasks that took place. So instead of tracking each hour of the day, you use keywords or short phrases to document what you did each day.
Why? Let’s assume you are a small business owner and you work 8h a day. And still, it seems like you are not getting enough done. While there comes a point where you need to hire help, you already can do a lot by proper prioritization of your tasks. So at the end of April look back on this spread and get an overview how you spend your working hours. Are the tasks you tackled the ones that propel your business forward? If not do your research and find ways to automate, delegate or get rid of these tasks.
