Drawing always was the one thing that was able to calm me down no matter what. It lets me deal with my emotions, it helps me to relax and most importantly of all, it brings me a lot of joy! When I started turning it into my job it kinda lost this ability. Oh noes! Thanks to the Bullet Journal I finally found a way to combine my two most favorite things: planning and art! It allows me to draw without putting too much pressure on myself. Just little doodles here and there. That way I can be creative without having to create the perfect piece of art.
But now I often hear voices who love what I do with my Bullet Journal. But they either wish they could do the same or think they will never be able to. Amazing people who put pressure on themselves. Who think their bullet journals need to be perfect. Please don’t do this to yourselves!

As someone working as a freelance artist in the games industry, I know what it means to be under constant pressure to perform at your very best. And the feeling that every new piece of art you create needs to outshine the last one. But the thing is, most of the time only you put the pressure on yourself. Not your clients! They are happy with what you presented in your portfolio. And as long as you deliver that kind of quality they are all in! Otherwise, they wouldn’t have hired you in the first place.
That said, there are two points I want to bring across. First, only compare yourself to your past self. I’m very happy when you enjoy my work, but I have thirteen years of drawing experience, three of them as a professional game artist. So if you only started to pick up a pencil last week, be proud of what YOU have accomplished since that day! And don’t compare yourself to someone with years of experience. Instead, see them as inspiration, learn from them as much as you can and get excited about what’s possible with a lot of dedication and effort.
Only compare yourself to your past self! Click To TweetSecondly, enjoy your hobbies to their fullest! Don’t let a hobby become a burden. So if you love your bullet journal and enjoy doodling in it, great! Don’t stop! You will improve without even realizing it until you look back one year later. And see how much straighter your lines are and with how much more confidence you are putting your pencil on paper.
Why am I telling you this? Because I’m wundertastisch at putting unnecessary pressure on myself and standing in my own way. Perfectionist trying to be ok with just ‘great’, haha. And I don’t want to see others make the same mistake!

My bullet journal is a way for me to be creative without striving for perfection. A place to relax, calm down and plan ahead! Finally! I want it to be the same for you!
So I hope after this lengthy introduction, you see the following FREE PRINTABLE SET I created for you as something that brings you joy. Use them as inspiration for your own pages, learn from them if you like or if you can’t stop comparing yourself, get excited about what is possible if you just keep drawing 🙂 Negative feelings not allowed!
Hello August

I drew my first Hello Month spread this June and I enjoyed it immensely. Since I know that quite a few of you enjoy coloring I thought why not turn it into a monthly coloring page. I plan on setting up a page for all your artsiness in regard of my printables (I already have a few of my mandalas you beautifully colored). & I love them to pieces! Aww! So if you color it all in make sure to link to it in the comments below or send it per e-mail to me Make sure to include a link to your blog or favorite social media account!
Habit Tracker
Definitively my most used spread in my Bullet Journal. And the one I experiment on a bit every month. It went from being very minimalistic in March to more detailed in April to colorful in June. This is something that doesn’t happen very often since I’m a big fan of thin lines, only black on white.

Monthly Log
This one is also with me since the beginning. Since I’m a perfectionist, nothing I do is ever enough. So when the end of the month comes around I often feel like I wasted a lot of time and didn’t get anything done. This is where the Monthly Log becomes very handy. Because it shows me exactly how much I did or not did accomplish this month and allows me to have a realistic look at my achievements. Example here!

Tasks & Goals
I find it super helpful to plan out all my goals for the month in advance. It makes sure I focus on the right tasks and avoid procrastination. This easily happens while working from home without any supervision ò.O Also setting the little checkmarks gives me a feeling of accomplishment and the motivation to keep pushing and therefore moving closer to my long term goals. You can see it in action here!

Weekly Spreads
A new addition to my Bullet Journal, which only my email subscribers have seen so far. I have read and listened to Brian Tracy’s ‘Eat That Frog’ multiple times in the past month and I’m super excited to give his system a try. This includes next to my already existing Master List, Monthly Tasks and Daily Tasks (which are in my Paperblanks Dayplanner) also Weekly Tasks. So here we go! The big box on the left is for all your tasks that are not bound to a specific day. And the little boxes on the right include the time specific events and deadlines. I decided to add a space for my daily morning and evening routine as well. That way I can’t forget anything and can see what works for me and what doesn’t. Each weekly spread has a different motivational quote which will hopefully inspire you to stay productive!

August Memories
Another obsession of mine! I love to look at those spreads since I enjoy it immensely to see others move closer to their goals and obviously enjoy achieving my own too! At the end of the year, you have like a 12-page memoir which shows you how far you have come and what you enjoyed the most. Have a look at my June spread if you haven’t seen one yet and don’t know what the hell I’m talking about!

I just found you on Pinterest and I’m so happy! Your work and ideas are amazing! Thank you for your generosity, too! I can’t wait to start printing and planning 🙂
Aww, thank you so much, Paula!!! I’m very glad you enjoy them so much 🙂
Also, I would love to see what you do with those pages <3 So if you share
them on a social media platform, please let me know where and how to find
your account(s)! I wish you a most wonderful weekend!
Another great post Sandra! The printables look great. I love your pictures, they are so crisp and bright. I think it’s so true what you say about not comparing ourselves to others but to ourselves.. I’m really good at doubting myself and my own abilities, and it’s important with the reminder!
As for stickers I enjoy smaller elements the best, doodles, quotes or elements that I can incorporate into my own system 🙂 Happy brainstorming! 🙂
Aww, Tale! It always makes my day reading from you 🙂
I hope we keep pushing each other forward, show each other that our doubts are
unnecessary and make our dreams come true! Thank you so much for your kind words
and all your feedback regarding my future Etsy shop. This helps me out a lot!
I wish you a most wonderful week! And hope to talk to you soon <3

Hello Sandra: I am unable to print out the August printable’s. I joined your page but cant find where to click to print them out
Hi Stacia, after your signup you should have received an email named ‘Welcome to the Wundertastisch Newsletter! + Your Free Printables’. In it are the download links both to the august free printable bundle as well as the mandala coloring page. Those are pdf files you can save on your computer and print out. Should you have not received it please make sure to add sandra@wundertastisch.com to your contacts inside your email program (it may have got lost in your spam folder). Please let me know if that’s the case, so I can send the email your way again 🙂
HI Sandra! I loved downloading your bullet journal set up… but unfortunately when it downloads it comes in to a full sized sheet of printer paper. Is there something I am doing wrong for the sizing for it to fit a typical notebook? Thanks!
Hi Samantha, thank you so much for your kind words! I would recommend telling your printer to print 2 pages per sheet. By my printer this is under: Multiple > Pages per sheet ‘2’. I also change the Orientation to ‘Portrait’ and then it prints the 15 pages on 8 sheets which you only have to cut apart in the middle. My printer even has a ‘Booklet’ option which does the same thing automatically for me 🙂 I hope this helps! If not please let me know the company + model number of your printer and I do some research for you! I wish you a most wonderful week!
I cannot seem to find the link to download the pages to print…help!?
