My best friend @nadinluedicke reminded me today that art is a process. And that we all have our own unique ways to create it.

I used to stress myself out because I wasn't able to draw everything from my imagination. Whenever I used references I felt like a fraud.

Which is ferociously. Because without drawing and painting from life and references you also can't draw said things from imagination. I was doing it all backwards.

And so I hope by sharing our process I can make it a bit easier for you. References are not only okay they are necessary. What is not okay is pretending your studies of others peoples art is your own.

There is a an amazing book called Steal like an artist which I highly recommend. It was written by @austinkleon and it is what you need if you struggle with imposter syndrome. You got this!

You will never have enough time, money, or knowledge.

Because as soon as you reach one milestone you are gonna strive for the next - it's human nature.

I know you don't wanna hear this...

but nearly every time you say I don't have enough time, money, or knowledge to pursue, buy, teach, sell, ... you are doing only one thing:

Making excuses.

Right now, right here...

I'm giving you permission.

Permission to follow your heart.

Permission to pursue your dreams.

Permission to buy that course.

Permission to teach that subject.

Permission to sell your own products.

Because when you

- start focusing on the projects that matter to you,

- commit to act before you are ready, keep learning and apply what you have learned,

- AND keep your commitments not only to others but also to yourself

you will realize you have everything you need.

Remember there is no moment where everything aligns perfectly. You need to act before you are ready.

This is why my customers have to go through a 7-day challenge focused on getting their month organized before diving into any of my planner printables.

I do not allow them to use time as an excuse to not pursue their goals. Are you allowing your excuses to hold you back from what you truly desire?

As you may know, if you have read my last newsletter, my husband and I are expecting our very first child. Which is why everything is going a bit differently as planned this year. And since I'm currently spending the majority of my time getting our apartment decluttered & organized so we have more space for the little one as well as get it baby proof. I decided to finally tackle another corner of my blog I wanted to start to fill with content back when I initially started Wundertastisch in 2016 but never got around to it.⁣⠀

According to my doc, I'm allowed to work until Jul, 18th which I now set as my deadline to get our place all neat and tidy. I want everything we own to have a home, so we can find it easily. As well as keep the floors clear (currently they are part storage solution, so sad).⁣⠀
